The HUYNA project has two streams: animated series and animated short films. Both streams cover human rights issues. The only difference is that series are made by professionals, and short films are created by school children. “We create animated films, which invite to reflect together on a Human, his rights and freedoms. Our animations are not only bright stories. It is a promising and innovative instrument for discussing important and difficult issue the society face nowadays”, HUYNA manifests.

Oppressive post-Soviet history with a savour of camp culture formed a steady taboo on everything related to sexuality. Especially – to homosexuality. However, it is often a kind of internal homophobia, leading rather to stigma than to outright discrimination. All peoples and societies went and continue to go through this kind of homophobia. It is possible to work with it: increasing the level of awareness, personal example plus the evolution.
We believe that at this moment the priority task for Ukraine is to preserve its independence and territorial integrity. Therefore we are against any statements or actions that can discredit the efforts of the operating interim government to overcome the crisis, considering that effective work of both Ukrainian and international structures is now of extreme importance.
Group members met thanks to advertising, widespread in the press and through the counseling centers. It is quite interesting that the gender composition of the group – approximately 50/50, dad comes as much as mothers. First few months the meetings were conducted under support of the psychologists of the organization, but today the group is ready to become an independent one.
